How I relax myself

Sunday, June 7th, 2009

Relaxing to some people is like “gold-dust”! They can never chill out, they are allways chasing their tail, and even just the word RELAX seem to bring them out in a rash. You need to relax otherwise you will burn out, and become seriously ill. So my answer, if you have problems with swithing off from everyday life would be: FRIENDS

Good friends should have the ability to relax you, by just being in their company. I have just spent a day in North Lincolnshire with some dear friends of mine.  You know the “put the world to right over some good food” kind of day.

What I would like to share with you good people, is the “Thank you Poem” I received today, after the visit. This style of writing is just perfect to sit and almost meditate on. So here is the original. ENJOY…..

How to become a Zen Master

~

Take lots of years

    Of being ‘laid back’.

Add to this the Buddhist

    Theory of ‘non-doing’.

Live for a long time.

    Read the lovely tales

Of the eccentric Zen Masters

    Of old and their

Anti-logical teachings of

    ‘Non-being’.

Mix in a little of Mr. Miyagi

    And the lovely Yoda.

Create a secret Zen garden

    Far from the madding

Crowd. Adopt the arts of

    Za-zen – ‘just sitting’ -

’non-thinking’ and ‘non-doing’.

Just listening to the bird song

And the sound of wind in the pines.

You are now on the path

To becoming a real Zen master.

Mix in with a little of Thick

Naht Hanh’s philosophy from

His recent book from Amazon -

‘Nothing To Do Nowhere to go’

From now on you will be in

‘Perfect harmony with the universe’

And you will be living in Nirvana.

The joy of being painfree

Friday, May 29th, 2009

When was the last time you were pain free? Do you put up with the pain on a daily basis? Why do you suffer from mechanical aches and pains, when most of them could be sorted out?

Most of us have so many things “to do” everyday, that we forget our self. We put up with the aches that the body gives us, as we are “too busy” or “I will sort it tomorrow” or ” I have no time now “! I am sure you recognize these statements.

But why not SORT IT NOW? You owe it to your body to look after it. It does all it’s daily functions without complaining, so when you get a pain somewhere, it is the body’s was of telling you to “give me a bit of TLC”!

Chiropractic can get rid of most aches in the body in a very short space of time. As a Chiropractor, I deal with back pain, head aches, trapped nerves and sciatica on a daily basis. You name it, I have probably dealt with it over the 17 years I have been in practice.

So give yourself the joy of being PAIN FREE, and discover how GREAT you can feel. Discover how much more you can do on a daily basis, when you do not suffer from aches and pains.

The healing art of CHIROPRACTIC can get rid of aches and pains, without surgery or painkillers. You owe it to your self.

positive mental attitude

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009

Have you ever noticed why some days seem to be so easy, where as other days seem to drag on and everything goes wrong?

You know that feeling of getting “out-of-bed” on the wrong side and the rest of the day, just seem to be wrong!

It is all down to your MENTAL ATTITUDE. Now do not laugh, this is serious stuff. If you expect to have a bad day, it will probably be a rotten one. Because you expected it, so you got what you expected!!

So why not change it to a POSITIVE day? That way you will attract positive things and at the end of the day, you will finish with a big smile on your face. It is as easy as it sounds, I do it everyday! And you know how annoyingly happy I am every day. By thinking positive all day, you have a great day, and by the end of the day, the negativity from the morning is all gone.

So try it. I CHALLENGE YOU. If you wake up tomorrow with that negative head on, think about something great in your life, keep that focus, and the rest of the day will be a breeze.

Happy Smiling and be inspirational to your fellow human beings.
